Dr. André Sobiecki received his BSc in Technology Information Systems from Santa Catarina State University (Brazil) in 2009 and his MSc in Electrical Engineering from the “Centro Universitário da FEI” (Brazil) in 2012. He obtained a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Groningen in 2016. His bachelor and master thesis are about face image processing and inpainting, his PhD thesis are about skeletonization methods for image and volume inpainting. From 2016 untill 2019 he worked as a researcher at ZiuZ Visual Intelligence, at same time he was a guest researcher at University of Groningen. From 2019 to 2021 he traveled around Brazil and Uruguay living in a van and worked as a greengrocer. December of 2021 he started as a postdoctoral research fellow at the department of radiology, University of Michigan. His research are focus on image processing, pattern recognition, restoration, machine learning, face image processing and medical imaging.
